Amid the many physical transformations and emotional burdens that accompany a cancer diagnosis, treatments such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy can cause dry skin, itchiness and increased sensitivity to the sun.
According to Bernice Kwong, a clinical associate professor of dermatology at Stanford University, “Studies show skin conditions are the most unexpected side effect of (cancer) treatment.”
